Health Care Resources
Bronx Community Health Network (BCHN) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) "without walls". Our seven community and three school health centers are owned and operated by Montefiore Medical Center (Montefiore) and Promesa, Inc. (Promesa). The health centers offer high quality, no-cost or low-cost services to all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, religion, or financial status. While the health centers accept many of the major health plans, no one is refused care for lack of insurance. If you do not have health insurance, an affordable fee is determined according to your income and ability to pay. You may also get assistance in determining if you are eligible to apply for Medicaid, Family Health Plus or the Prenatal Care Assistance Program. Your child may qualify for the Child Health Insurance Plan even if you are not eligible for public health insurance.
