Creating expanded coordination with the support services and programs that help people thrive.

BCHN is embarking on an initiative to ensure a brighter future of health care in the Bronx. As a federally qualified health center (FQHC) since 1997 and an independent enterprise, we will continue our valuable partnerships with hospitals and other health care organizations while forming new, exciting partnerships.

Building a $14M state-of-the-art health & wellness center

The first phase of our initiative entails establishing a BCHN-owned and -operated state-of-the art health and wellness center, which will provide quality comprehensive direct health care and a full range of community services for all ages.

Invest in access to high-quality healthcare in our community.

Many FQHCs in New York City and across the country cultivate philanthropic investment to bring a broader range of programs and health care services than federal grants and fees for patient services allow for.

Philanthropy opens the door to improving the organization’s core capacity, acquiring much-needed equipment, expanding preventive services, hiring doctors and nurses, enabling greater community outreach through our Community Health Workers, and so much more.

Thank you for your call every week. I really look forward to it. And thank you for getting me a blood pressure machine. I feel more comfortable now that I can check it myself! It is so nice knowing you care.

When the pandemic started, I lost my job and my husband was the only one working. We had to make ends meet and I was so worried about the expenses of a new baby. Rhea connected us with resources for food and baby items, like the new program that BCHN partnered with to assist families with diapers. It has been a huge help for my family, and I am very grateful for Rhea and the program.

A grandmother with three grandkids was facing food insecurity. We helped her apply for SNAP benefits. I learned she was paying $1,000 a month for rent in public housing and her monthly income was only $900. We were able to get her rent reduced and help her catch up on her utility bills.
